HERA-PICTURE BOOK

A Picture book of HERA is now available on bookrix. It contains dozens of illustrations that never made it to the HERA series, (for a number of difrrent reasons.)

MAKING OF #1

This is the first in the making of series. Today I will share with you the making of HERA chapter two cover. 

The initial idea I had was to do more dramatic cover, (as oppose to first chapters 300:ish testosterone cover) to bring out the diversity of the HERA series. After much playing around, I chose to do a close up of Rhea.
 

At first I started with blocking out the character, using only gray shade, as I think it's easier this way not having to worry about colors.

I focused on the eyes, and when I was happy with that I started adding color on a new layer. After laborous hours, I finnally felt like the cover was ready.

Next month I will show you the Making of Hera chapter II cover, and trust me when I say it's gonna be awsome!

THE STORY BEGINS

Synopsis of HERA
-----------------

The Land of Argos is dying, its land withering and its people suffering. A small band of exiles venture to the desert of Hades to seek the one force that can bring an end to their suffering, THE SON OF ARES.
But what they found is not what they bargained for, and it soon comes clear that, the Son of Ares is not the hero they sought, but the monster they needed.
